Network Operations Center Monitoring Internet Data Traffic
Navipath needed a way to monitor internet traffic capacity to manage their allocation of bandwidth, so they built a center in Andover, Massachusetts. Although designed to monitor and alert the centers operators it had to also function as a client presentation stop on the company’s walk-through.
The facility’s visual center is comprised of eight fifty-inch DLP cube technology in a two high by four wide format. The images are segmented to allow individual monitoring of each network or to allow the area in the center to act as an emergency notification when heavy traffic is realized on a particular network.
The display center also incorporated the building security for the environment that operated 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
