Challenge

Large law firm with offices throughout the Northeast that need to connect for both client meetings and internal collaboration. The Firm’s existing technology was hard to use and provided an extremely low video call and presentation success rate when trying to connect with remote locations.

Design

We reviewed the portable approach they had deployed as well as apparent causes of the low success rate for video and audio calls. We discovered numerous variables in the Firm’s current system configuration including user knowledge and processes, inconsistent technology, and quality of the cabling. We also surveyed the Firm’s staff for most common requirements, meeting sizes, complaints, and business uses for the technology.

With the objective of promoting the efficiency and collaboration that are so important to the Firm’s work, our final system design provided an intuitive, standardized user interface, guidelines for room configuration, consistent technologies at every location, and higher quality boardroom and conference room environments that reflect the client’s reputation in the marketplace.

Impact

The new system delivered a connection success rate above 90% within the first year of deployment with a high user satisfaction of the technology approach. the Firm continues to invest in each of its eight office locations, deploying the standardized approach and seeing ongoing improvements in communication and meeting quality.
