To help navigate the sea of options and opinions on how to design the multipurpose space, VisionPoint created a detailed Capabilities Matrix and model using virtual reality. Multipurpose Room enables global manufacturer with the flexibility needed to support its operation.
Challenge
A global manufacturing company planned to construct a new building complete with offices, conference rooms and training facilities attached to a large factory. Having worked with this company for many years, VisionPoint has already helped to develop technology standards for the various conference rooms but was faced with the challenge of a unique set of rooms.
Design
To help navigate the sea of options and opinions on how to design the multipurpose space, VisionPoint created a detailed Capabilities Matrix and model using virtual reality. The Capabilities Matrix provided the foundation for stakeholders to easily understand exactly how the room can be used to support their specific use case. The virtual reality model afforded the company to see how the technology will look and perform in the room before making the commitment to implement it in the final design.
Solution
VisionPoint’s approach during the discovery/needs analysis phase proved to deliver great value for the company. The end result is a workplace that enjoys a consistent user experience in conference rooms of all sizes and the flexibility in the multipurpose rooms to support all the various use cases of a three-way divide-combine room.
